These pictures are from a trip to Monument Valley and Moab in September 2026.

Starting at Page AZ, photographs are of Horseshoe Bend, followed by Secret Canyon (accessible with Navajo guides). Then Toadstood Hoodoos (including “The Pirate”) and spectacular scenery at Moki Dugway. Then a short hike to “House on Fire” rock formations with mysterious handprints.

Then, based at Mexican Hat, “Valley of the Gods” and Monument Valley. Photographs are of West and East Mittens and Merick Buttes, at sunrise, and (later the same day) moonrise. The last day at Mexican Hat was to photograph Hat Rock (with the setting Moon) at dawn.

Then a few days at Moab UT. Photographed Mesa Arch during one of the short periods when the sun was shining.
