Photographs from a trip to the Scottish Highlands in October 2025.
We started with the waterfalls at Etive Mor with Buachaille mountain in the background. Castles visited were Kilburn Castle on Lake Awe, Stalker Castle on Loch Laich Lake (also seen in Monty Python and the Holy Grail) and Eilean Donan Castle (seen in several movies).
Also shown is the shipwreck on Caol Beach, and the Hogwarts Express steam train.
We spend four nights at the highland town of Portree, from where we visited the scenic views of Quiraing, Fairy Falls, Fairy Glenn, The Old Man Of Storr and Neist Point Lookout and lighthouse
On the last morning there was a spectacular sunrise at Portree.
Remarkably, and to everyone’s surprise, it didn’t rain once in the week we were there.
