I find that pictures in the woods are the hardest to take and make them interesting. It’s probably because there is too much going on, and it’s hard to isolate the subject. It looks great in person, but the photos are always disappointing.
I took these on a recent hike near where I live: the Sonoma Overlook trail. Just a couple of iPhone shots. Unusually they turned out OK. Not hang on the wall good, but OK. I think it’s the inclusion of the path that gives them purpose.
